Dual meet rosters

Postby aaacoach140 » Sat Dec 28, 2019 7:11 pm

During a dual can a wrestler bump weight class to chase or run away from another wrestler ? or must a lineup be written up at what point during the meet and cannot be changed ?

You can bump up no more than two weight classes and that can change at anytime up and until you check in at the table. Once you check in you have to wrestle that weight class.

In dual meets the wrestler/wrestling team that has choice for that match has to report first. That’s why it is sometimes important to know whether your team needs choice in the odd or even matches. If a team has forfeits or multiple wrestlers at one weight class, they may want to decide which wrestler to send to the mat that gives their team a greater chance to win the dual.

During a dual the coach has the option to send a wrestler out at the weight they weighed in at or the weight class above or not send the wrestler out at all. The coach will make the decision based on whatever the coach feels would be the most beneficial for their team or for the individual wrestler
In the end we win
