Fortunate to have good, young officials
Like many of you on here, I follow a lot of other high school sports. After witnessing what I have in basketball this year, I wanted to take a moment to say wrestling is LUCKY to have a group of young officials coming up through the ranks the past several years. I don't see that same youth movement in football or basketball and probably won't in baseball either. I may miss some names here, but Marquis Frazier, Jordan Tincher, Dustin Yoakum, and Johnny Duncan come to mind. There was also a younger official up north named Bobby Roberts a few years ago that I was impressed with, but I don't think he is in the sport anymore. I'm not sure, but he held a lot of promise. I think as a whole, we have a great group of veteran officials, but it's nice to see the next generation of officials doing a good job and preparing for the future.
