Cklv

Tough start to the weekend , no Watters, Lawerence or Wolfgram and no guys entered at 149 or 285

125- Jace was pinned by spratley but has won his first 2 wrestleback matches has Cornell kid next

133-Very disappointing day for Jett lost 6-1 to mauger from Utah valley then fell 9-1 to a Binghamton kid in wrestlebacks , don’t think his ceiling at 133 is very high

141- Titus with a nice win over Singleton from Oregon state , has AA Hardy in the quarters

157- Gaveonsky dropped a disappointing first round match to Hofstra , picked up 2 wins on the backside has Hilplioto from V tech next

165- Peyton Hall picked up 2 easy wins has a very tough freshman from Arizona State in the Quarters

174-Conley dropped a close one to NC state singleton , went 1-1 on backside losing to Purdue

184-Robin won his first match then was teched by Plott , won his wrestleback and is still alive

197- Cooley lost to Glazier first round , picked up a bonus win in wrestlebacks and is still alive

Really not a great showing so far hopefully Titus can medal and Peyton can make a final

I’m a pretty optimistic fan but this showing has been dreadful

125 Jace goes 2-2 DNP

133- Jett goes O-2 DNP

141 -Titus didn’t have anything for hardy and lost 10-1 , gave up early lead over Happel and lost 11-10 finishes 1-2 DNP

157- Gavronsky goes 2-2 DNP

165- Hall won a terribly officiated 1/4 final with 3 different challenges and long stoppages , will face Garvin again in the semis. #2 seed Sasso was upset by bubba Wilson on the other side

174- Conley goes 1-2 DNP

184 - Robin had a nice comeback win in wrestlebacks 4-1 so far and still alive needs to win against 8 seed from Ohio state to reach podium

197- Cooley 1-2 DNP

Just a poor showing across the board , hopefully Hall can win the whole thing and salvage the trip

Totally agree, these are not the results anyone was hoping for.

Jett is up a weight to help with the weight cut and is still showing signs of inconsistency.

There was no reason for Jordan Titus to lose the match against Cael Happel. He was up 6-2 going into the 3rd period and gave up 3 takedowns.

Brodey Conley is still very inconsistent.

Dennis Robin is quietly having another nice tournament, he will finish in the Top 8 for sure and has a good chance of finishing in the Top 4.

Peyton Hall keeps showing why he is the leader on this team. Peyton stands a very good chance of winning the whole thing so good luck to him.

Robin is a having a nice tournament and a lot of the time it’s these early season out of conference match ups that play a big role if you re fighting for a wildcard bid in march so nice to see him stack some wins

The team aspect is disheartening but I’m trying to enjoy this last run with Hall , he a great guy and teammate and I think it’s important to appreciate what we have while he’s still in a mountaineer uniform

Robin got pinned in 20 seconds by Ohio state kid , was lat dropped almost immediately finishes 4-2 DNP but a solid tournament ….didnt realize they were wrestling for 7th - Robin beats the # 6 seed from Michigan bullock 4-2 another good win for Robin finishes in 7th and goes 5-2 on the weekend

Hall won another badly officiated match 12-7 over Garvin , seems like the ncaa lose to Garvin was more to do with being unfamiliar with Garvins style

Hall beats 3x AA Cam Amine 4-1 in OT , hit a beautiful slide by for the win. I really think he can be ncaa finalist this year . Great start to the season for hall with All star win and Cklv title , he’s a wrestling at another this season

Pretty disappointing tourey for a couple guys that don’t seem to have improved much in 3 or 4 years. Hall’s always been a beast. His win took a lot of the sting off. Hope we can keep him around after this year as a coach.
