Did the Parkersburg Cougars pay extra for their seating since they have 3 sections saved. Everyone had to pay the same and they got the Best seats. Not starting off so good.

What about the 45 minute wait in line just to get in the arena?

What did it have to do with then?

It was because they check every bag that comes into big sandy arena and it slowed things down obviously. Something that is an easy fix which I am sure will be addressed.

Should have paid extra for a better seat like cougars did...then line wouldn't matter!!

Im 6 rows from the mats. Waited in line for 45 minutes. What else could i have done?

You should have pretty good seats then! And southpaw it's still better then sitting on someone's lap.

I will say that the tourney has ran smoothly in my opinion.

The competition at this tourney has been really tough too. Each opponent has been good throughout the process.

I totally agree great competition.

Well it opened at 7. When I was there not much of a line got my tickets and got a section and I'm not a cougar. They were there when I got there. Early bird gets the worm. Maybe go over early and go back. But yes the comp has been great. Awards are amazing also one of a kind!!

They just make sure your not sneaking a half bottle of soda or a pack of crackers in so you have to spend 9.50 on a soda or bottle of water. Prices are ridiculous

I didn't get in until right before 10 and my family and I sat 5 rows from the front right at mats 6/8. Not sure why anyone else had a hard time getting good seats. There were empty seats beside of and in front of me.

As for the "reserved" tape that was up, be angry at whoever did that, not the WVYWA. I saw it. If I wanted to sit there I would have. There are no reserved seats in the arena. The WVYWA can not run around babysitting seating areas. People need to learn how to act like adults.

Well I have no dog in this fight but I will comment on my 31 years of officiating. They people who put this on did a outstanding job for first year. Sure couple of bugs to work out but this to be expected. IT WAS A PLEASURE to do a tournament where everyone respected each other. The coaches in my opinion where great. Let's be honest when is the last time you were at youth tournament and seen only two coaches in the corner IN the Chairs and no else. The kids loved being the spotlight and loved talking to the officials. The trophies WOW were amazing. Even though I could talk for hours on that subject. So in closing to all involved you are definitely headed in the right direction. I hope all the adults quit the childish games and get behind this. IT IS FOR THE KIDS and you displayed that.

They are already on Track Wrestling. They were updated there live as the meet progressed.

EDIT: and they are posted on here now as well.

I would like to thank all those who made this possible, a great start to a great idea that is long overdue.
excellent facility , great competition and awards like no others.
Travis, you and your crew did an awesome job.Forget the naysayers,there will always be some you can not please.

Would like to thank all who helped make this a great tournament this year! Could there be changes for next year, definitly. Can it be better than this year, certainly can be. Some of the issues were with Big Sandy not necessarily the WVYWA itself, but hopefully as it was told in the beginning it will be moved about the state, so maybe different places better results, who knows. Thanks again for making Memories for these kids!
