Mountain State Novice Championship Info - Coaches/Parents Please Read

Thanks to all who registered. We have the highest number we have ever had in this tournament!!! With that being said, please know that we are NOT accepting any late entries for any reason. We have had several ask for exceptions due to "being lost in the mail" - If an entry form is not in hand as per the registration requirements, they are not entered. We hate being so stringent with the registration process, but brackets need to be completed in a timely manner and late additions only causes chaos .

Also, please remind your parents and wrestlers that only .5 will be given during weigh ins. If they do not make weight, we will NOT be moving kids up to a different weight class for any reason. Doing so will only increase the length of the coaches meeting which will get us off schedule.

Weight classes with 5 or less are in a round robin - all others are bracketed. We only have 4 weight classes that are round robins. We did combine 2 weight classes - the 11/12 80 and 85 classes are combined. The 11/12 80lb wrestlers may weigh up to 85.5. That is the only combining we did for the entire tournament - simply because we only had 1 85lber register.

Wrestling will be at Ripley High School - please do not park in the fire lane in front of the main building entrance. Vehicles parked in the fire lane will be towed at the owner's expense. There is plenty of parking in the front lot and the lot by the board office.
