Jackson went a perfect eight for eight in the finals and won on the last match of night when Dominic Way major decisioned Williamstown’s Dutch Sandy to claim the 110 pound championship.
The finals started at 116 pounds and featured the first two of four head to head matchups between Jackson and Edison. Jackson’s Kayden McDonald pinned Edison’s Colton Hill to win the 116 pound title and was followed by teammate’s Stephen Myers tech fall of Edison’s Asa Yost for the 123 pound title. The two wins cut Edison’s lead to 6.5 points. Myers was honored as the League’s Wrestler of the Year during the post-match awards.
Edison bounced back to win the 128 pound title when Ryland Layton pinned Wirt County’s Peyton Dye and extend their lead back to 12.5 points. Edison extended their lead to 18.5 points when 171 pounder Cohen Staats pinned Hamilton’s Zach Medina in the second period.

Jackson’s Seth Drennen won the next match to pull within striking distance with a hard fought 7-4 decision over Ripley’s Kendrick Durst for the 94 pound title. He was followed by Parker Woods' nail biting decision over Edison’s Cole Smith, 2-0, in the 102 pound final. Their two wins pulled Jackson within 2.5 points to set up Way’s must win tussle against Sandy.
Williamstown’s unseeded Gavin Buck won the 135 pound crown with a pinned over number one seed James Lattea of Edison. In earlier rounds Buck pulled upsets over the number two and three seeds on his path to the finals. For his efforts he was named the tournament’s Outstanding Wrestler.

Blennerhassett Middle School finished fourth with two title winners. Dylon Nichols won the 155 pound title with a second period over Ripley’s Aaden Harmon. Teammate Briar Anthony won the heavyweight title when he busted open a 1-1 tie with an escape in the third overtime period and closed it out with a takedown and near fall points over Dru Binegar of Pleasants County.
The other two individual titles occurred with Spencer’s Mack Webb winning at 145 pounds with a 11-7 decision over Edison’s Aiden Boroz, and Williamstown’s Christian Hoosier pinned Hamilton’s Mason Ross for the 190 pound title.
