Wins question

Do wins that are non school affiliated count on an individuals total?

For example - a wrestler may have 25 middle school wins and an additional 12 wins in tournaments wrestling independently. Do they count on that individuals total, or only the schoool wins?

I know they count, but do they officially count? Just curious.

I know when my boy wrestled for the conference championship and they were announcing the records for each wrestler going for first, they only announced his MS wins and not his open tournament wins. So, maybe they don't.

I would say it depends on the event you are attending. If it is a middle school event then only ms wins should count. But if it is a youth/open tournament then all wins should count.
