Who are the middle school three time WSAZ winners that will be heading to high school next year?
Names and future high schools would be great to know.

I know of one year when between my school and the other feeder we sent 7 WSAZ champs to the high school, some were multi time. Plus several other placers ( we had 12 kids total plus 1 JV who placed and the other school had several as well. 2 champs wrestled the first year, only one the next year. The rest were sabotaged and poached by the football program who forbade them to wrestle and told them all they would get full schollys to Alabama or some such nonsense!
So many weeks ago, there was an article in the Charleston Daily Gazette (or whatever it is called now) and it listed all of the football players who signed with WVU, Marshall and all or almost all of the other colleges. I looked through every list for the sole purpose to see how many West Virginia kids were signed to play football for a WV university or college. Maybe 1, sometimes 2 kids from WV were signed by each school.
What these young kids need to be taught is to lift weights for football, for wrestling and for life. Do both sports or even do three sports. Be all that you can be in high school.
Heck, there will only be 29 AAA football programs next season. I doubt Alabama will be looking around too much. But Capital, and some of these other big schools need some wrestlers.
