I know this is a wrestling forum, but since wrestling season has not started yet I have to give credit to the South football defense. Parkersburg South is # 1 in scoring defense allowing only 10.67 points per game. And as we all know defense wins games. There headed for the play offs !

Well, with 7 points allowed tonight against Morgantown and 10.67 points per game the first 6 games, that would make it now 10.14 points per game, if the original numbers were correct. Can I get an Ahmed for that, er I mean an amen?

After 9 games South is # 1 in scoring defense again only giving up 8.56 points per game. Martinsburg played there last game Saturday and finished with a 8.60 scoring defense. I f South holds PHS to 9 points they will tie Martinsburg for #1. Any less than that and they will be #1 by themselves.

South Wrestling was having such frequent bonfires that the Forestry Department stepped in and said no more.

Nope you didn’t overlook the bonfire or making and selling of
t-shirts either. Sadly it seems as though mediocrity is celebrated more often than championships at south.
