For Riverside we should be at full strength next week. Not sure about making a run for the top 5 this year, but we are young and hungry for sure. The next few years we are excited about the direction of our program. We have some good wrestlers from our feeder programs coming in. The coaches at our middle schools have done a fantastic job, so we should make it interesting starting next year.

I have not seen PHS this year yet but Wheeling Park looked really good in Barnesville, Ohio.

remember kenny, we only had 7 STARTERS at Barnsville. Just imagine how good we would hsve looked if we had our entire team. We would of won by at least 30 points.

Please note, that was Rick posting the above. I was at the Ironman. However, I can assure you he was aware of your point but that still would not take away from his observation of the overall quality of Park's wrestlers. I might add that Park was missing their 106 pounder and he is product of Kenny Dunbar training (that's an inside joke between him and me).

Wheeling Park was missing their 106 and 126 at Barnesville. Hopefully when OVAC and State arrive the team will be ready to compete at a high level.

To say that South would have won by 30 points may be a stretch. They may have won, but to dominate by 30 may not have happened as, Claymont as well as others had a quality team there as well. I for one would love to see South with their full team at Barnesville, however, that will not happen due to Ironman being the same week. It has been a good opportunity for South to have some backups and starters compete at Barnesville while others compete at the Ironman.

I can see that Wheeling Park is a program on the rise and they will only grow stronger as long as Coach Tucker and his staff continue to develop talent.
University has also shown great improvement over the past few seasons.

I think South would have won Barnesville by at least 50 points. More than half the weight classes would have likely had a South wrestler in the finals. Keep in mind they would have knocked some of the other high scoring teams down in points. My best guess is as follows:
6 finish in 1st place
3 finish in 2nd place
consi semi finishers
1 finishes either 5th or 6th place
1 does not place

Sorry, it was December that Braxton shut out Greenbrier East. I sure would of liked to see those individual results.

I am pretty sure that Greenbrier East was busy winning the 24 Team
Point Pleasant "Jason Eades Memorial" Duals Tournament that weekend.
