Are you asking about the NHSCA duals? A few WV teams was there. Felix Wrestling Academy took several of the previous 15u National team.

I believe McAfee was seeded 4th or 5th at WSAZ losing only one match to Short by 1 point. Seeding is definitely needed. Plus I think states and regionals is a different ballgame when the kids have to make weight in front of the ref.

McAfee only had 1 loss in AAA which was to Hurst by 2 points very early in the season. I believe he would have definitely made it to the finals. Although he is a freshman he has seen his fair share of big tournaments. My opinion is just an opinion...

In 126 I do believe it would have made a difference. Mcafee pinned Ford in the 1st period both times they wrestled. If you don't seed them at least have a true second match. The bottom of this bracket was ridiculous with talent.

Hurst only defeated McAfee once

11/12 95 has 4 former state Champions in it. Should be a interesting bracket.

Well I see there are 3 "States" a new one called odd yr. We could just form another "NATIONAL" team on our own. Seems there are no limits in WV. 2 novice states, 3 states. Lol

Ridiculous. Update the site especially the rules. Losing respect! Seems the rules change to suit the coaches involved. Just do the right thing. Results should be public and so should the rules. Everyone is confused!

Beast, I probably would have made the trip but couldn't get my question answered after publicly asking 3 different times. Another coach actually responded "I think they are ignoring the question."

Excited about the change, but I thought if regional champions hadn't went head to head common opponents were factored in. Is that not the case? Not complaining I expect mine to go throw the bracket to the top but mine beat 2common opponents and took a 3 seed.

I personally spoke to a Western Greenbrier coach whom needed the regional chairmans info. To enter some wrestlers in the WVYWA. Hopefully he git in contact with him in time.

Nice to see someone post that has been to qualifiers. I think most of us who has been and went with an ooen mind already see the positives.
My understanding is that it will be rotated Coach Williams. Huntington just happen to have the availability and compacity requirements at the right time.

My son has had a bracket in all of the qualifiers in his division. Many middle school isn't able to participate yet. I am certain the results only show the top 4 placers. In fact he has had a full bracket of really good competition, much better than yrs. past. Almost on a regular basis there is 4 st...

You simply cannot expect to go to both, then it would be the same next yr. My guess is you already know if your wrestler qualifies where you will go. Take a look at the teams committed to participating. Aside from the Wood co.rec league there is very few that isn't on board.
